... helping babies to sleep
and families to flourish

What you can expect

During consultations with The Babysleep Doctor or consultant, parents and carers will learn a strategy for ensuring optimal sleep patters for their children. They will be taught about normal sleep patterns, cues of sleep and the difference between cues that are carer dependent and independent, the effects of fatigue on sleep and what are reasonable awake and sleeping times for babies and children.

The strategy is tailored to meet the needs of individual families.

Using The Babysleep Doctor strategy, patients can expect that a child WILL achieve something like the following sleep performance at the quoted ages:

  • birth to six weeks sleeps between 18 to 21 hours per day.
  • six to 12 weeks sleeps between 17 to 21 hours per day.
  • four to eight months sleeps approximately 16 to 20 hours per day with 12 hours at night.
  • eight to 10 months sleeps between 15 to 19 hours per day with 12 hours at night.
  • 10 to 15 months sleeps between 14 to 17 hours per day with 12 hours at night.
  • 15 to 18 months sleeps between 14 to 17 hours per day with 12 hours at night.
  • 18 months to 36 months sleeps between 13 to 16 hours per day with 12 hours at night.
  • 36 to 48 months sleeps between 12 to 15 hours per day with 12 hours at night.
